Daily Highs
What it shows
How warm it gets in the afternoon across the region, plus the sky (sunny, cloudy, rain or snow). Eleven cities are labeled, from Rockaway and Yonkers down to Cape May.
How to read it
- Each dark box is a city's forecast high in °F. The dot shows where the city is.
- The land is colored by temperature: yellow and orange for warm days, and red as it gets hot. The colors blend between cities, so you can estimate your own town.
- The icons show the sky for the day.
When we post it
Every morning.
Where the numbers come from
Forecast highs from the National Weather Service (Mount Holly and Upton offices), pulled the evening before or that morning. For dangerous weather, always follow official National Weather Service warnings and your local emergency officials.
